The Colour Purple
Historically, purple and violet traditionally represent wealth, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, pride, imagination, beauty and femininity. The colour was worn by Roman Magistrates, rulers of the Byzantine Empire and Holy Roman Empire
Lavender History
Lavender has been documented as used in traditional medicine since ancient Egypt. Cultivation was first recorded around 3000 years ago. The ancient Egyptians held the cultivar in high regard for ointments, perfumes and embalming. Rome continued the use, taking it's name from the Latin 'Lavare' which means 'to wash'. It comes as no surprise the popularity of this tried and tested oil has endured for millennia
Lavandula Angustifolia essential oil comes with a number of sub-oils, each having their own properties which make up the whole. A comprehensive Data Sheet showing these sub-oils, components and healing properties is available as a guide
